The Art of Wearing Stories: A Celebration of Creativity, Artistry, and Connection

This past weekend, we opened the doors to the Great Pulteney Street Gallery, where we celebrated wearable art, identity and storytelling. Thank you for joining us!

Our immersive launch event in Soho marked not just the unveiling of my debut collection but the official introduction of something personal and meaningful: "The Art of Wearing Stories.”

Kathy’s approach and philosophy underscores the beauty of individuality, identity, and memory through wearable art.

Event Highlights

The gallery space was bright and airy, where silk scarves and hand painted art floated in frames. Glass shelves featured vintage glass heads displaying silk scarves and kerchiefs.

We featured Kathy’s bespoke hand painted clothing, a photo booth for guests to explore the collection and have their photos taken, Kathy’s desk which displayed original artwork, and process images and video that featured how the collection was developed, all across three galleries.

Highlights included:

  • The Immersive Gallery Installation: Scarves and artworks were displayed as part of a living gallery, allowing guests to experience each piece up close — seeing not only the detail of each brushstroke but also the story behind every design in gallery explainer boards.

  • Live Styling Demonstrations and Personalised Consultations: We provided 1:1 bespoke commissions, collaborating to create a direct, personal connection between their memories and their future wearable artwork.

  • Expert hosting by our compère, Emilie-Kate Owen: We were thrilled to have our long-time supporter and friend MC, host and radio presenter Emilie-Kate Owen with us to add her sparkling wit, humour and charm to our launch.

  • Exclusive First Orders: Our guests enjoyed a special incentive on the day and were the very first to take home pieces from our limited Heritage Collection.

  • Conversation and Connection:100 guests over the two-day launch had an opportunity to not only connect with Kathy’s artwork, but her community, over incredible food and drinks.

Throughout the event, we hosted mini-sessions showing guests creative ways to wear their stories — whether draped, tied, or styled as headpieces and accessories — and held a photo shoot to capture the joy!

Introducing The Art of Wearing Stories

At the heart of everything we do is a simple but profound idea:

We create wearable art that you can not only admire, but wear, feel, and live in.

Your memories, your milestones, your dreams — they deserve to be celebrated, worn, and remembered in an ethical and sustainable way.

The Art of Wearing Stories is our way of honouring those moments — turning them into hand-painted silk, carefully crafted with ethical practices and heartfelt artistry. Each piece of wearable art — be it a scarf or an item of clothing — is more than fashion; it’s a chapter, a journey, a part of who you are. Kathy’s vision is bold and personal: to transform art into heirlooms. To give you not just something beautiful to wear, but something that says something—about who you are, where you’ve been, what matters to you, and why you do what you do.

Whether you choose a piece from our ready-to-wear collection or work with us to commission something truly one-of-a-kind, you’re not just wearing silk — you’re wearing your story.

Thank You from Kathy

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who joined us and supported this launch — for your warmth, your excitement, and your belief in my vision.

This is just the beginning. I can't wait to share more stories with you, to help you wear yours, and to continue building a community that values creativity, sustainability, and self-expression.
