Kathy Kyle Studio: Launches a range of bespoke wearable art, embracing an ethos of Storytelling and Sustainability
Launching Wednesday 22 April 2026 with an exclusive invitation-only event in the heart of Dorking, Kathy Kyle Studio is proud to announce the launch of her boutique space in the award-winning Sandrock House.
Only a year after launching her eponymous brand of wearable art, Kathy has expanded her range of ethically and sustainably crafted scarves to include gifting, interiors and stationery.
In the year since her launch, she has shown at a national trade show, London Fashion Week, pitched at The Great British Pitch, spoken at engagements, press events, and universities about entrepreneurship, and secured London-based stockists. She was awarded a government-funded grant to expand her collection. She will show her collection at Premiere Classe 'Who's Next' in Paris, 5-7 September. Her collection is now available in store at Kathy Kyle Studio at Sandrock House and her new line of silk scarves will be available this summer.
With over 25 years in delivering award-winning results for global tech companies, US-based climate advocacy groups and local independent clients, Kathy has now realised her personal goal, in launching her new brand. Each piece in the collection is designed and hand painted by Kathy, printed by an ethical silk supplier in the UK, and hand sewn in France and in Surrey.
The fabrics selected and processes employed have been meticulously selected for their ethical construct, all of which come together in fair working conditions. She reduces amount of fabric waste arising from its production, with all materials made either bespoke or in limited quantities, to minimise wasteful stock surpluses, and eschew ‘fast-fashion’ timescales evident with less-exclusive profit-driven retailers.
Kathy is regularly commissioned to create bespoke scarves, hand painted clothing, cushions, fabric by the metre, and personal branding projects:
“I am thrilled to partner with Philippa and her team at Sandrock House. I am proud to be part of this community and to invest in my local town. Everyone has a story to tell, and I wanted to create a collection where my clients can express their stories through wearable art,” says Kathy Kyle, Founder and Artist. “It is never too late to stop saying what if and start saying 'why not?'.”
Kathy is a member of Surrey Hills Enterprises, the Dorking Business Improvement District, is a Buy Women Built brand, Small Business Britain 100, Top 100 Inspiring f:entrepreneur, was named Top 15 Entrepreneurs to Watch in the Southeast, Top 12 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch in the South East, FSB’s Community Business of the Year, Surrey’s Community Business of the Year, and Biz Bubble’s Community Business of the Year. She has received the Silver Award for: Best Woman in Marketing & PR, Tech/STEM and Best New Business.
