Our Story
Kathy Kyle is the artist and designer behind Kathy Kyle Studio, a Surrey-based atelier producing hand-painted, ethically made silk scarves and wearable art heirlooms. Her work sits at the intersection of illustration, craft, and slow fashion.
She was commissioned by the British Museum to create a bespoke silk scarf reimagining the Tudor Heart Pendant, exclusively available in the British Museum Grenville Gift Shop. The bespoke project reflects her ongoing interest in reinterpreting historic and cultural artefacts through a contemporary, wearable lens. Kathy’s pieces are hand made in Britain and France, designed to be passed down to the next generation, drawing on a visual language heritage, identity, culture and storytelling, underpinned by a values-led, people-and-planet-first approach.
Her accessories have shown at London Fashion Week as part of an official British Fashion Council event and at Top Drawer, and are stocked at Choosing Keeping in Covent Garden. She is a 2026 finalist for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards in Product & Manufacturing, South East.
In 2026 Kathy launched a physical shop and studio at Sandrock House, 5 West Street in Dorking, Surrey.
We create pieces of wearable art where you can wear your story on your sleeve. Every brushstroke and design tells a story—of identity, heritage, and self-expression—inviting the wearer to embrace their authentic self and redefine beauty and acceptance on their own terms.
We invite you to celebrate who you are, your uniqueness, your joy and self-expression in the most beautiful and sustainable way.
"Everyone has a story to tell, and I am creating wearable heirlooms to treasure and keep forever."
