About Kathy Kyle
Kathy Kyle is an artist, illustrator and entrepreneur who creates ethical, sustainable wearable art. She creates ready-to-wear, custom, and limited collections. This includes bespoke hand painted clothing, textile and surface design, and stationery. Her work is inspired by nature, the fast-talking dames of Old Hollywood films, and slow, vintage style. With 25 years as working in tech start-ups, branding, PR, art and climate advocacy, she has now launched the studio to ethically create wearable art. She volunteers as a mentor to young people at UprisingUK and graduates of the Wildlife Trust's Our Bright Future and female founders.
Testimonials
“Love the weight and feel of the silk, the colours and fabulous and texture great. The edging is so well done – simultaneously sharp, yet relaxed.
The design worked perfectly, as planned. You can fold and crumple the pocket square in so many different ways and the colours in the design totally transform the look – I expect it to be very versatile!" - Thomas
"Just got my 2nd beautiful twillie from the Kathy Kyle Studio in Dorking. This is was the last black double sided one with more floral pattern on one side and more block pattern on the other side. It is so soft and versatile and I’m so looking forward to it adding the extra dimension and interest to my outfits. I love the way Kathy puts so much effort into her designs from start to finish. She is conscious of making sure the material is ethically sourced and wants to support other local businesses in her endeavours. She beautifully wrapped the twillie in her bespoke printed tissue paper. Beautiful from start to finish." - Lucy
"Absolutely love my scarf from Kathy Kyle! It was a present from my husband and the packaging made it feel extra special! I wear it so often … just perfect for adding some fabulous colour to a more neutral outfit. The silk feels so special. Lucky me!" - Anne
"Met Kathy at Top drawer London trade show!! What a fantastic lady ❤️ that’s before I even begin to talk about her amazing scarves!! I am now the very proud owner of the most fabulous scarf I have ever owned, such great quality and such unique designs. I will definitely be back to order more :-)" - Natalie
“Thank you Kathy Kyle at Studio Kathy Kyle for my very gorgeous Moroccan Dreams scarf. I absolutely love it as a special gift from my Dad. I think the idea of wearable sustainable art is fantastic. I love your artistic style and the beautiful colours. The idea of a bespoke scarf picking out parts of a life lived so far is genius and fun. One day perhaps I will be able to get my own bespoke scarf, in the meantime I will have great pleasure in wearing this one which provides the colours and inspiration of Morocco. I love that you source from ethical suppliers with a really conscious mindfulness to the environment from start to finish. Thank you so much.” - Lucy
